What is the AutoTick Test Generator?

AutoTick is an online test generator that allows you to create your own automated-marking tests. Enter your test title, marking passcode, number of questions and answer key, then generate and download your test.

Do I need any special software?

No. You only need a normal web browser to create and download your test. The generated AutoTick test can then be opened using a common web browser.

Does AutoTick work on Windows and Mac?

Yes. AutoTick works best with modern web browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on Windows and Mac computers.

Can I use AutoTick on a phone or tablet?

AutoTick is designed for computer and laptop use. We recommend that teachers and students use a computer or laptop to create, complete, submit and mark AutoTick tests for the best and most reliable experience.

Is an internet connection required?

An internet connection is required to use the online Test Generator and generate your test.

Once your generated test has been downloaded, the test can be used offline.

How do I create a test?

After logging into your account, enter:

• Test title

• Marking passcode

• Number of questions

• Answer key

Then generate your test and download the completed AutoTick file.

How many questions can I include?

You can generate a test with 1 to 60 questions. Simply select the number of questions you want when creating your test.

What are credits?

Credits are used to generate tests.

1 credit = 1 generated test.

Every new account receives 5 free credits to try AutoTick.

Do I need to subscribe?

No. AutoTick does not require a monthly subscription.

New users receive 5 free credits. When you need more, you can purchase additional credits from your account dashboard.

Can I reuse a generated test?

Yes. Once downloaded, you can keep and reuse your generated AutoTick test according to your needs.

Can I change the test after generating it?

The generated test is based on the information entered into the Test Generator. If you need a different version, you can create another test using a new set of information and answer keys.
